Jesse was raised with a love and deep respect for the mountains. He grew up camping, river running, backpacking, hiking, biking, and experiencing the great outdoors any way he could. Now he does all those things with his own children and it is critical to him to maintain and improve the mountainside.
Jesse formed the Trails Committee over 3 years ago and continues to serve as Chairman. His main goal was to update the trails master-plan and identify improvements that would need to be made in order to improve access to the beautiful mountains that frame Bountiful. The proposed plan will be discussed at the Bountiful City Council meeting on Oct. 8. All citizens that want to share their opinions (positive +negative) on this plan are encouraged to attend.
Jesse knows that communities thrive when there is adequate open space to recreate and socialize. This includes pickle ball courts, parks, walk-able sidewalks, biking/hiking trails, sports fields, or dog parks. Jesse wants to hear what is important to you and take your needs to the city council. He knows that improving these areas not only improves the health and well-being of our citizens, but it can bring positive economic growth into Bountiful.
